“I grew up in an alcoholic family + my father was physically abusive. So, not surprisingly, I married + had children with an alcoholic + abusive partner. I divorced him when our children were 5 + 2 years old—25 years ago. Even though we were not married, his abuse persisted. He died about a year ago, so I thought the fear of him I carried also died. But in the family constellation, I discovered that terror alive in me. This was a total surprise. The gift came when during the constellation, that terror left. Cathartic + cleansing
“I have been in the hot seat + a participant in constellations facilitated by V. I’ll start by saying that even participating in a role is more cathartic + cleansing than I imagined, especially as I happened to play roles that pertain to my own life. I was in awe at how distinctly the experience of each role came through. It is truly something you have to do yourself to see how it works.
